I have installed GreaseMonkey, but it only shows in Tools>Add-Ons and the scripts I installed do not work.
It was set up in the same way as on another computer, but even uninstalling firefox and GM, then re-installing both came up with the same problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Does your monkey menu show up and is it enabled?

I'm also having a problem with scripts not showing up. I installed Greasemonkey v. 0.9.0 in Firefox 3.6.13 ( x64 Windows Vista Ultimate SP2). The monkey menu header shows up in the add-ons manager, but none of the user scripts are visible below (the 'manage user scripts' area is blank). Greasemonkey is enabled and the installed scripts are working, but I can't access/ manage them. When I revert back to 0.8.6 the 'manage user scripts' pop-up displays the installed scripts and works fine. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

Marti,
The monkey menu doesn't show up, only in add-ons can you see GreaseMonkey is there. When accessing it through add-ons it shows enabled is checked.

K this is most likely either profile corruption and/or potentially your system has virus/malware on it.... Try creating a new profile with just GM and a test script. Check the Error Console for any errors and report back.

That's still considered the manage dialog

Hmmm well try a new profile/GMinstall/testscript and virusscan/malware/error console check... if you are still having problems go create a ticket upstream. Please note 0.9.0 is still prerelease. What is your nightly rev?

Just a note... this is actually the Greasefire forum... while there isn't an official isolated forum for GM on USO I usually pay attention to userscripts.org forum and the banana bar forum... but I'll hang out here for a change for a bit ;) Bringing this topic near this forums purpose don't expect Greasefire to be working with GM right now since USO is still restoring services. I doubt that it will work with GM 0.9.0 too.

Thanks guys. It is now fixed.
It looks like one of my anti-virus packages was blocking it, as someone mentioned. It was a version of AVG that was running and I couldn't delete it for a while.
Thanks again for the help

Thanks for your assistance Marti (and sorry about the Greasemonkey questions in the Greasefire forum). I just wanted to let you know that, through a process of elimination, I found the add-on which was interfering with user scripts being displayed. I contacted the developer and informed him of the compatibility issue. Again, thanks for your help.
