How to use:

  1. When the page is loaded, right click on the grease monkey > Userscripts commands > and choose a command or type the shortcut for a command.
  2. Set your custom settings on the top right of the page to allow or disabled what you want on each video page.

Commands:

  1. GM Menu Commands :
    • Stop and hide the video player ~ This deletes the video player from the page so that you have all the speed going to the download process.
    • Show/Hide download form ~ This shows or hides the table containing the possible formats to download.
  2. Shortcut command :
    • Type the word you set as shortcut show/hide the download form. Default is 'catch'.

Settings:

  1. Visual:
    • Hide Video ~ Deletes or keeps the video on the page when it loads.
    • Hide Download Form ~ Hides or shows by default the download options.
    • Hide Ratings ~ Removes or keeps the ratings.
    • Hide Sharing ~ Removes or keeps the sharing options.
    • Hide Comments and Stats ~ Removes or keeps the comments and stats.
    • Hide Promoted and Related Videos ~ Hides or shows promoted and related videos.
    • Hide Channel Info ~ Hides or shows channel information.
    • Hide Top and Bottom Search Form ~ Hide search forms.
    • Favorite videos.
  2. GM Commands :
    • Custom Shortcut ~ This will be the shortcut that you can type wherever you want on the page to show the download options.
    • Show/Hide Video Command ~ This is a default grease monkey command (allow/disable).
    • Show/Hide Download Form ~ This is a default grease monkey command (allow/disable).
  3. Other :
    • Language ~ English / French / German
    • Skin  ~ Blue / Green / Orange
    • High Quality Mode ~ Uses script from Joe Simmons to switch to high quality (no refresh)
    • Lyrics Box ~ Checks for online lyrics and print them next to the video.
    • Theater Mode ~ If checked it will see if everything is hidden ( not necessary search forms are hidden ) except the video to make the video bigger than it was before.
    • Lights Out ~ Similar to Anmar Mansour's script but automatically turns lights out if you have theater mode on and this option checked.
  4. Lyrics Plugin:

    • When the lyrics option is enabled and you are watching a video, a new sub command menu appears in the settings panel. The plugin enables you to set by order of preferences the lyrics site you want it to search for availability of the video lyrics simply by selecting a site and moving it either in or out of the list.

Notes:

  • Mp4, Flv and 3gp calls are the fastest. When you click on download as any of these formats you directly get to save the file.
  • Mp3 requires a connection to YouTube catcher site and sends request to convert file. The time until save box appears depends on the video length.
  • Mov, Mpg, Mpeg, Wmv and Avi open a web inside YouTube page and surf in it seeking for the file location and as soon as it's found/converted you will be prompted to save the file.
  • Update is checked once every 9 days by the script itself while watching a video. The update file is very small and update takes less than 1 minute. You can download the new update or ignore it but it will still alert you every 9 days in case you ignored it.

  • If you suspect anyone from copying this script please inform me and flag the copied script as harmful so it will be deleted.
  • The script normally works with no errors reported on the console but if you see one witch keeps appearing from this script please post it as comment.
